Whether if you work in the interior and design industry, as a decorator or an interior designer or architect, or if you are just going to renovate your home, knowing more about the latest color trends in interiors can be a great source of inspiration.
We did a research online about what will be trending next year for interiors: here we go with some tips and insights.
Experts say this will be the new Millennial Pink. That is, a color which will be extremely popular in the next months, in the same way as the dusty pink has been super trendy in the last year.
This bright hue of yellow takes its name from the color of emoticons, which are highly used especially by the youngest generations born after the 2000 (defined by marketers the Generation-Z).
For sure, it is not such an easy color to be incorporated in interiors…but you could try with just some pops in gen-z yellow, for example with a design sofa in yellow or a big wall art, or also with some fabrics and cushions.
Looks like all shades of purple, from lilac to lavender, to dark purple and bright violet, will be trendy in the upcoming months. After all, Pantone named the Ultra Violet as the color of this year 2018: that is a very strong violet inspired by the color of ultraviolet rays with spiritual meanings too.
You can consider purple for textiles and home accessories, for example.
Starting from terracotta and caramel, to rust and burgundy, earthy colors are a big trend now both in the interiors and in fashion. This is a consequence of a huge comeback to the Seventies, when organic shapes, patterns and earthy shades had a great moment and they are all back now again.
Try to match different shades of warm colors in the same decorating scheme: the effect will be refined and very interesting.
Sage green and neo-mint
After the big popularity of dark greens, pastel greens are going to have a big moment. Sage green (a very soft hue of greysh green) is the most popular color now for homes according to this Pinterest research and looks like the trend is going to last also in the next months. In fact, sage green is a great way for adding some color in your homes, without losing the refined look of a neutral background.
Neo-mint is another new shade of green, a little bit warmer than mint but as lighter as mint, that is increasingly popular in interiors and fashion now.
Blue is the new black. Navy and deep blues are a must for textiles, homewares, but also can be an interesting option for walls, adding depth and a dramatic touch.
